Chelsea Boosted In Pursuit Of £20m Italian Ace

Italy and Parma starlet Sebastian Giovinco has admitted a return to Juventus is unlikely, boosting Chelsea’s hopes of signing him.

Last week, Giovinco’s agent revealed Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich remains a big fan of the ‘Atomic Ant’ and were in talks over a possible £20m January move. However, Giovinco is co-owned by Juventus with speculation suggesting the Italian giants are considering buying back the forward after they sold him to Parma in the summer. But Giovinco doesn’t think a move back to Turin is on the cards:

“For me, at this moment, Juventus is a closed chapter and to reopen it does not depend on me,” said Giovinco, who also went on to criticise Juve president Andrea Agnelli over his treatment of legend Alessandro del Piero.
