BREAKING NEWS: Official England World Cup Squad Announced

England manager Fabio Capello has revealed his final 23 man squad for this summers Wold Cup in South Africa. The major surprise has to be the omission of Arsenal winger Theo Walcott who started both recent friendlies against Mexico and Japan and looked a cert to be on the plane, but Manchester City’s Shaun Wright-Phillips has got the nod ahead of him. Other players who failed to make the cut are City’s Adam Johnson, Everton’s Leighton Baines, Sunderland striker Darren Bent, West Ham midfielder Scott Parker, and Tottenham duo Michael Dawson and Tom Huddlestone.

King instead of dawson? I’m not too sure about that, based on form n fitness. Pity on bent too, husky has done nothing recently to warrant a place.

I think Bent should be in the squad instead of Heskey,bent did well in his club,and i know he is way fitter than heskey so yea,i think he deserves much in England squad,

good selection from Capello !!at last a good coach 4 england.
I’m not surprised by the selection. Michael Carrick has the ability to slow a game down and intercept a passing teams balls e.g. Brazil. He is simply no good at getting forward and is a sideways passing speccialist but he can catch a pass and intercept a ball at crucial times.
Walcott is pony. it’s not good calling him an impact player and saying that he can help England when chasing a game when his final product into the box is diabolical. He is what Lennon was 2 years ago.
Heskey got the nod over Bent based on his international experience and ability to work well with Rooney. Bent looks terrible for England and needs a team to play to his strengths to help him succeed. He has looked great this season but just like at Spurs he won’t shine for England.
