Villas-Boas Blasts “Stupid” Man Utd Legend

By on November 22, 2011

Gary Neville pulled out a nice little crack about Chelsea’s erratic defender David Luiz while commentating on the game which saw Chelsea take on Liverpool on Sunday. The former Manchester United defender jokingly said that the Brazilian played as if he was “being controlled by a 10-year-old playing on his Playstation”.

It was quite amusing, and you can see where he’s coming from thanks to his sometimes questionable, unpredictable and irrational defensive performances as he runs around conceding fouls with his trademark hair bobbing up and down rather comically. However, Neville’s joke did not amuse the Chelsea manager, Andres Villas-Boas. He said during his post match press conference:

“It is his opinion, but it is a stupid approach to an opinion. I respect Gary Neville but that is just ridiculous.”

It isn’t the most controversial thing the Manchester United legend has done in his career in football, but it certainly rubbed the Portuguese manager, who is under increasing pressure in his high expectation job, the wrong way.

Geoff Hirst was a legend, Jimmy Greaves was a legend, if you want a Man U legend FFS try George Best…. Gary Neville is a choir boy by comparison, not even in the same league.

I doubt AVB now, he is doing a guess work because his philosophy is not working at Chelsea, Porta was a smaller club compared to Chelsea and let me make things clear, Chelsea can never play like Barcelona all what we want is trophies not entertaining football, Duaah Arsenal does play entertaining football in England but they have not won a Trophy for pass 8 years now. Chelsea need Guus Hiddik talent to secure them or things will get worst with AVB. Wake up Roman!

The worst mistake Chelsea fc would make is to sack ‘AVB.’ Tactically, the guy is very good and, if we are planning for the future, then,we gotta stick with the dude and not call on Hiddink. Malouda n Drogba should be encouraged to leave Chelsea.

Gary Neville is a joke as a pundit all he does is bang on about Man U even if they aren’t even playing that day. If all he can bring to the commentary is dopey little comments then he deserves slating by AVB. Chelsea need to master rule 1. Defend and keep a defensive line don’t leave such massive gaps all the time. Rule 2. Endurance and counter attack, use pace. The passing is getting better but some players are previous set ups for being strong so changes and time to adapt. Hiddink was mentioned as sporting director possibility. This can only be a good thing in my opinion who wouldn’t want support from someone with his CV?
