Arsenal Transfer News: “Yes, It’s True Arsenal Like Him”

The agent of 22 year-old Romanian winger, Gabriel Torje has confirmed that Arsenal are interested in signing his client, and did not rule out the talented winger leaving in the summer for Arsene Wenger’s side.

Torje signed for Italian side Udinese late in the summer transfer window, signing a five year contract for a fee believed to be around £6 million from Dinamo Bucharest. He has been scouted by Arsenal in the past, with Wenger a known fan of the diminutive, tricky winger who has been compared to Barcelona’s Lionel Messi, but the confirmation of the London clubs interest is encouraging for the future of Arsenal’s midfield. The agent, Giovani Becali said:

“Yes, it’s true Arsenal like him. There’s nothing official. We can say that there have been talks, even when the player does not move.”

“In January there is no chance that he moves. For June, we’ll see. However, it’s clear that the player is happy in Udine.”
