The agent of Eduardo Vargas has confirmed both Arsenal and Liverpool are in talks to sign the Chilean winger.

Vargas has attracted interest from a host of top European clubs after putting in some impressive performances for Universidad de Chile, and its widely expected that the 22-year-old seals a move to Europe this January.

His agent, Diego Cativa, has confirmed that Italian giants AC Milan and Inter Milan are already in talks to sign the highly rated winger, and he also claims that Premiership duo Arsenal and Liverpool have also entered negotiations.

“The clubs are speaking a lot but little progress has been made,” Diego Cativa told supervasco.com.

“We are talking with AC Milan and Inter Milan, who have made proposals, as well as with Liverpool, Arsenal and a number of other clubs.

“Interest from Vasco de Gama? They cannot compete with the clubs that are already interested.”
