[VIDEO GOALS] Olympiacos 3-1 Arsenal: Goalkeeping Shambles For Gunners

By on December 6, 2011

Arsenal lost their unbeaten record after losing 3-1 in Greece tonight. Andrey Arshavin and Marouanne Chamakh both had chances to put Arsenal ahead before two goalkeeping errors saw the Gunners 2-0 down before half time. First the nervy Fabianski was caught in no mans land for a deflected through ball, Djebbour on hand to round the keeper and knock into the empty net.

The Pole was then replaced by Vito Mannone after picking up an injury, and it wasn’t long before Arsenal were 2 down. Mannone came out his box to head clear a through ball, with Fuster then trying a first time shot at goal from distance. The Italian keeper attempted to kick clear instead of simply catching the ball, presumably not realising he was not back inside his area, but completely missed the ball and it trickled into the net for 2-0.

Arsenal got one back when Benayoun fired home a volley from a Chamakh knockdown but Modesto sealed the three points for Olympiacos late on. Watch the action here:

hay that will be nice, because arsenal needs creative playmakers, and goal getters, so that if van is not playin some other attacter like pato move will be a great deal. and also players like podolski who is fit and strong to score from any range. arsenal need second eleven team who are as good as the first.
