Former Teammate Reveals Cesc Fabregas’ Surprise Return To Arsenal

By on December 13, 2011

Arsenal forward Andrey Arshavin has revealed that former team-mate Cesc Fabregas made a surprise visit to the Gunners training ground recently.

Fabregas made his long-awaited return to Barcelona in the summer for a fee in the region of £30m. The midfielder has settled well at the Nou Camp, scoring 8 goals in 12 appearances so far including a diving header during Barca’s 3-1 win over Real Madrid on Sunday.

The 24-year-old was at Arsenal for 8 years and went on to captain the Gunners during his time at the club, and according to Arshavin the Spaniard returned to London Coloney to see his former teammates during a recent visit to the UK. When asked on his personal website if he still kept in contact with Fabregas, Arshavin said:

A few days ago Cesc came to our training ground; we had an opportunity to communicate with each other.

Would you trust Fabragas coming back into the camp. Perhaps its a way to talk Van Persie into joining Barca for next to nothing. He might have been on a mission from Barca president. Perhaps get Van Persie to try a shirt on for size. After all the tricks to get Fab to Spain why would any trust be put in Fabragas to not have undertones to his visit.
