Chelsea Transfer News: Fernando Torres Made Available For Just £20m

By  Published: 14th December 2011

Chelsea are willing to sell £50m flop Fernando Torres in the January transfer window, according to several reports today.

Torres has scored just three Premier League goals since his £50m move from Liverpool almost 11 months ago and has looked half the player he used to be while at Anfield.

This poor form has seen the Spaniard demoted to the bench in recent weeks, with Andre Villas-Boas preferring Didier Drogba and Daniel Sturridge up front.

Several news outlets today are claiming that Roman Abramovich is now ready to cut his losses on the deal and is willing to listen to offers in the region of £20m for the striker.

The Russian is keen to get Torres off the pay-roll as he earns around £150,000-a-week at Stamford Bridge. The club may consider loaning the 27-year-old abroad for 6 months in order to restore his confidence but it’s believed their preference is to find a permanent buyer.

Torres has cut a frustrated figure in recent months after a disastrous time in London and was an un-used substitute during Monday’s crucial 2-1 victory over Man City. He sat stone-faced in the dugout as the Blues came from behind to beat the league leaders and blow the title race wide open, and didn’t take part in the post-match celebrations on the field.

Firstly they will demand more than 20mil for him anyway.
Secondly theres no chance they’ll sell him back to us.

And if he does come back I wouldn’t give him more than 50k a week.

And finally I am not sure I would want to give up the delight of watching him fail miserably week in week out at Chelsea – it is no more than judas deserves…

I think if there is any chance of Torres coming back then we should take it. It’s a no-brainer really. The questions we have to ask are Will Chelsea FC sell back to us? (considering if all they have achieved in the Torres saga is to get him the F*@K out of LFC as he was a torment to them when he played for L.F.C.)secondly- Does and would Torres want to come back?.I’ll admit it, I loved Torres in a Liverpool shirt and I truly believe he loved being in the shirt. And regardless weather or not we ever see him at Anfield again on the red side, he is a LEGEND of the Kop. And rightfully so.I feel if he wants to come back and it is in Sir Kenny’s power then home he should come. He’s only human and got his head turned, now he Knows where his home from home is. He is a child of the KOP, how dare we try to eradicate him like he wasn’t here. Give him a thick ear and get him back in the gates. Naughty boy Torres!, but nice to have you home again our boy. YNWA

This is the worst thing avb will do,u have not given torres chance as u did to didier, how many match have torres played under avb,he comes as sub and u want him to perform wonders, give the guy chance @ least we have wigan match to play and u can give him that chance to play, and each time u want to play torres u will remove ramires, mereles and mata that suppose to play along side him instead you use old lampard, sluggish and selfish malouda to start with him making the situation worst because those guys can’t give him what he wants as a striker even studrige envy him I know u won’t understand this now because u hav started winning but if u don’t find out torres match for starting will still bring the club down cos drogba is still out of form forget that he score, torres is more dangerous than drogba am sorry to say that but if the fact, play torres along side with mata, ramires, mereles romue you will see his best.to me torres would hav made and emphatic impression in man city match than drogba cos he hav pace and skillfull, pls avb don’t sell torres, abrahimovic don’t sell him give him chance I beg of you

Anyone who says they don’t want Torres back is a hypocrite. You were all too willing to sing “You’ll never walk alone” when he was scoring goals for us, but what now? Don’t proclaim our anthem if you don’t believe in it. Torres, come back! You may have put on a blue shirt for a while, but just look at the tattoo on your wrist and remember how it feels to be red…

I completely agree- let the knockers hold there heads in shame-they carry on like rejected teenagers.Torres was fantastic for us- how soon they forget. Remember he didn’t sign for old whisky nose and the team that can’t be named. Can you hear the drums Fernando?? Come back, you’ll soon be enjoying your football again. All is forgiven!!!

Torres should be given more playing times to prove himself, selling him is a crezy decision, which i believe AVB will definately realize. But loaning him is more preferred idea.
