Arsenal vs QPR: Injury News, Preferred Line-Up & Predicted Score

By on December 30, 2011

Emirates Stadium

Arsenal welcome fellow Londoners QPR to the Emirates on Saturday looking to end 2011 on a positive note with a much-needed win.

Tuesday’s 1-1 draw with Wolves was an extremely disappointing one and we really missed an opportunity to capitalise on Chelsea and Liverpool’s own home draws. But it wasn’t to be so its vital the Gunners collect all three points this weekend and maintain their push for a top four finish.

Arsene Wenger will be able to call upon the services of Theo Walcott once again after he missed the Wolves game through illness. No other injury news to report on so the squad will be virtually un-changed bar the addition of Theo. With an away game against Fulham to play on Monday, it’s highly likely the boss will rotate the team a little.

With all the injuries at the back, it’s almost impossible for Wenger to change things up in defence but i would like to see Coquelin given a start at right back and give Djourou a rest. I feel Arteta is also due a breather and despite Van Persie gunning for the record, i think the boss will rest him for this one as Fulham away will be a tough game and we might be able to get past QPR at the Emirates without our main goal-scorer. Here is the team i would like to see.

Preferred Arsenal Line-up:

Szczesny

Coquelin      Mertesacker      Koscielny      Vermaelen

Ramsey       Song

Walcott              Benayoun        Chamberlain

Chamakh

This is not a predicted team, but the one i would like to see start the match. In reality, i think Arsene will start Arshavin in place of Chamberlain.

Predicted Score

Arsenal simply can’t afford another slip-up at home tomorrow. We need a win and we’ll get a win. Even without the flying Dutchman, we should have more than enough to overcome QPR. Theo will be up against Traore who he will have trained with a thousand times which will make for an interesting match-up. I’m going for 2-0 to Arsenal.

Wht drop Gervinho when he only has a couple of weeks left before he leaves for the ACN and after he got MOTM against Wolves????
RVP MUST play against QPR and Fulham. He can rest when we play Leeds in the FA Cup.
Ramsey needs to keep the bench warm for a while longer and Arteta must also play.
If we are serious about finishing in the top 4 then we must put out our strongest team no matter who we are playing in the PL as long gone are the days we could put out a “weaker” team against the so called “weaker” sides.

I cant believe someone wants arsenal to win a match and you’re talking of Ramsey being on the bench. Oh come on guys! Havent you seen dat the entire matches Rambo has been kept on the bench arsenal have struggled in midfield? So much that Song was even the flop of the match against a Wolves side? Oh!….. the day you keep criticsism aside and begin appreciating Rambo, you’d notice just how important to our midfield.
Secondly asking for gervinho to be on the bench is like saying Chamakh is better than Robin van persie!! Arsenal for life

Have you noticed how many times Ramsey gives the ball away and causes us problems because most of the players are in front of him which then allows the opposition to break on us. In addition to that I believe Arteta should be allowed to be the creative player of the 3 in midfield and allow Yossi to break forward and support RVP in the middle and also make runs beyond RVP

Don’t forget we will play within 48 hours.
So there will be some rotation.
if we play our full team tomorrow, this means that we can’t put any of them on Monday !!!!!!!!!

Arenal are a 1 man team these days, you need to remember how bad u were without RVP. its a little disrespectfull to be talking of resting people when you dont have replacements, no?

Sean evry leading team has its talisman. Arsenal have RVP, Spuds have Bale, City have Silva, ManU have Rooney. Take any of these out and you are left with half a team.

RVP wont be able to play 2 games in 3 days, so my feeling is we’ll have more chance of winning a home game against QPR without him, than an away game against Fulham. Simple.

Why are we agitating on what is wrong, any lose or draw matches is the fault of our indistinct coach,he always gamble with all matches, arsenal have every right to win PL,CL & many more, but by his gambling,we lose if fortunate we draw…Example..See arsnl vs fulham match,he benched gervinho for that flop called arshavin.,instead of substituting at the right time,he kept that flop playing on the field..You see!,common wolves,we can’t pass through them..Now making another stupid decision of resting RVP & RAMSEY again..Who will play for them?,he always underrate clubs..Even Barcelona can’t do that in “la liga” not to talk of you that stingy of buying a quality experienced players..No shaking!!!,any result you see tommorrow, you take it,that’s what your coach want for the gunners..I’m still a gunners..
