Chelsea midfielder Oriol Romeu’s agent has revealed that his client would be keen to return to Barcelona, despite only leaving the Nou Camp in the summer.
Romeu moved to Stamford Bridge from Barca for around £5m but the Catalans inserted a clause in his contract stating that they could buy the player back for £10m until June 2013.
It’s understood that the La Liga giants aren’t currently interested in triggering the clause, but Javier Magico Diaz has claimed Romeu has always wanted to be a Barcelona player and that still remains his “dream”, and even hinted the 20-year-old may remain with Chelsea before moving back to Spain in the summer 2013.
Diaz did however insist the combative midfielder is happy at Chelsea and playing regular first team football. Speaking to Marca, Diaz said:
“Will Romeu return? His dream before leaving was to be a Barcelona player and that still stands, but we cannot ignore the opportunity Chelsea have provided,” agent Javier Magico Diaz told Marca.
“Oriol has made a name for himself in the Premier League and is playing regularly. We’re committed to the club and we cannot leave them hanging.”
“We’ll have to see if it’s appropriate for the club and the player. We need to know if he’ll keep developing at Chelsea and playing.
“Maybe it will be more convenient to stay for another year and then return in 2013.”

How unusual, eh?…A Barcelona cantera player dreaming of playing for his home club
If this a true story, than i hope Chelsea let him go. We are a team going through a trasision period and the last thing we need is keep an ungreatful player who was never in the Barcelona 1st team picture. We rescued this player from Barca, and good couple of performace’s from him and barca all of sudden want to buy him back with his head totatly turning and direspecting Chelsea saying his dream is to return to barca. This reminds me of the Fabregas senariou, and we all new wht happend in the end. On the Hulk story published by the DM, wht rubbish is this i dont deny Chelsea may be interesting in this player but for £80million never he will come much cheaper than that should the deal happen. I would also hope we look at Neymar, Hazard, and De Bryne who would be the cheaper option. i also hope we can sign Lucas, vander wiel, and either Pato or Higuian. We should sell Malouda, Kalou, Ferriare, Mikel, and Hilariou.

Big up the Blues!!
Deja Fabregas – get him out as soon as humanly possible and save yourselves much grief.
What is this transition about. We do not need to sell any experienced players as yet. It needs to be gradual.
