Chelsea saw off an impressive Sunderland side 1-0 at Stamford Bridge thanks to a Frank Lampard winner. The Blues went ahead after 13 minutes when a spectacular scissor-kick from Fernando Torres hit the bar, only for Frank Lampard to be on hand to tap home for 1-0.

Both sides had claims for a penalty in the second half and Sunderland finished the stronger side creating a couple of good chances. But Chelsea held on and took the three points. Watch highlights here.
