In the first instalment of ‘Super-Sunday’, league leaders Manchester City welcome third placed Tottenham Hotspur to the Etihad Stadium.
In what could prove to be a pivotal weekend of action, City will be hoping for a win to extend their lead over rivals United while Harry Redknapp will be looking to avenge his sides 5-1 defeat to City at White Hart Lane earlier in the season and maintain their surprise title challenge.
Roberto Mancini will continue to be without both Kolo Toure and Yaya Toure who are with the Ivory Coast at the African Cup of Nations. Vincent Kompany also remains on the sidelines as he continues to serve his four-game ban.
However, Mancini confirmed today that Mario Balotelli and Micah Richards have both been passed fit to play.
Harry Redknapp must do without the services of influential striker Emmanuel Adebayor, who is ineligible to play against his parent club as part of his loan agreement. The Spurs boss has confirmed Jermain Defoe will start.
Ledley King is a major doubt so Kaboul and Dawson are likely to continue at the back. Sandro and Huddlestone remain out.
The Spurs team practically picks itself these days but City’s side is a little more difficult to predict. Mancini is likely to select Milner for his work-rate while Silva and Aguero are sure to play. Balotelli’s inclusion is not so certain, with Johnson and Nasri also pushing for starts.
Despite Tottenham’s excellent recent form and City missing both Kompany and Y.Youre, Mancini’s men will start the game as favourites. Redknapp would take a draw right now and i think that’s exactly what he’ll get come Sunday. 1-1 draw.

With Balotelli and richards back in the city side they simply look to strong on paper for spurs to handle. However, this game will simply come down to who takes their chances as I can see their being plenty in this match. 3-2 to city for me.
Man City against Spurs 2-0 for me for sure.
