Jack Wilshere Suffers Injury Set Back – Time To Buy Arsene

The Daily Mail are reporting that star midfielder Jack Wilshere has suffered another injury set back in training and could be set for a spell on the sidelines.

This is getting ridiculous now. Just as we started to see light at the end of the injury tunnel with the news that Bacary Sagna was back in full training, today sees the Daily Mail reporting that star midfielder Jack Wilshere has suffered an injury set back.

The rumours were flying about Twitter last night but the Mail seem to have confirmed the news that Wilshere suffered a set back in training on Wednesday and Arsenal are now awaiting scan results to see what the damage is. We will of course bring you the news as we get it.

Wilshere was on course for a return to action at the start of February with Wenger hoping he would take part in the Champions League first leg against AC Milan on the 15th, and certainly be back to face Tottenham on the 26th.  However, if these reports are accurate its now unlikely Wilshere will take part in either game.

Arsene Wenger will be doing his weekly press conference shortly so will no doubt shed more light on the situation but i will be devastated if Jack is now going to be ruled out for an extended period. He’s been sorely missed and without him we’ve had to rely too much on Ramsey and Arteta, who’ve both played far too much football already this season.

It was no surprise Arteta picked up an injury and surely it’s only a matter of time before Ramsey also picks up a knock. He’s not had a rest for five months.

But should Wilshere be ruled out for anything beyond 2-3 weeks, there is no doubt Arsene Wenger needs to add before the window closes. I thought we needed to add a creative central midfielder BEFORE the news about Wilshere, so we certainly need to buy one now. I wont hold my breath though!
