Ajax vs Man Utd: Team News, Likely Line-up & Predicted Score

By  Published: 15th February 2012

Man Utd travel to Amsterdam to meet Dutch side Ajax tomorrow night in their Champions League round of 32 first leg game.

Despite concerns after United’s Champions leauge blunder, Fergie has made it 100% clear that he will be giving the Europa as much care and attention as possible, and i think that will reflect on the line-up tomorrow. This will only be the second time United have faced Ajax in European competition, and Sir Alex will be keen to secure a much-needed win.

One player who is seemingly keen for some playing time is Javier Hernandez who has told MUTV that he feels it will be a difficult game on Thursday but assures us United will be looking for that win.

Team News

Well as far as injuries are concerned, the news is positive for United. Ashley Young and Wayne Rooney both returned from injury recently, while the club have confirmed on their official website that Chris Smalling, Phil Jones and Nani have all traveled to Holland.

Fergie has decided to leave Ryan Giggs, Dimitar Berbatov and Patrice Evra at home, while Anders Lindegaard, Nemanja Vidic, Darren Fletcher, Anderson and Michael Owen remain sidelined.

Tom Cleverley is also available after a long lay off and should play some part in the game.

Predicted Score

With a weekend off this week due to our exit from the FA Cup, i expect Fergie to play a strong line-up against Ajax and put us in a good position going in to the second leg at Old Trafford. Man Utd need to win in Amsterdam tomorrow night to ensure they can have the opportunity to rest players for the second leg ahead of the Norwich game on the 26th, and i fully expect them to do so. United to win 2-0!

After all wat was said about this whole thing, i think Suarez made things worst by ignoring Evra’s gud gesture of a hand shake n this should show 2 the whole football fraternity dat him Suarez is a racist n he should receive an extra harder punishment 2 stop anyone wanting 2 act in such as racism has no place in football.
