Manchester United moved one point clear of Manchester City after beating 10-man West Brom 2-0 at Old Trafford. Wayne Rooney was the difference, scoring both goals and the result combined with City losing 1-0 at Swansea, means United are now clear at the top of the table.
Rooney gave United a first half lead before West Brom defender Olsson was sent off for a second bookable offence. Rooney then got his second from the spot, after Young was felled by Andrews in the area.
