Liverpool midfielder Javier Macherano will tell Roy Hodgson in the next 48 hours that he wants to leave Anfield, according to Soccernet. Hodgson has already held talks with captain Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher, describing the talks as ‘positive’ and has expressed his confidence that he can keep hold of his star players.

But Mascherano has seemingly made up his mind and is determined to leave Liverpool this summer with a ‘well placed source’ telling Soccernet;

“Javier is looking, for sure, to leave Liverpool,”

“There is no doubt that at the moment he wants to go. Await developments, as Javier has made up his mind.”

The only stumbling block may be Liverpool’s asking price, and with long-term admirer’s Barcelona in financial trouble, the most likely destination will be a reunion with former Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez at Inter Milan.

    Sell him NOW Roy.We need players with passion who want to fight for the club.Not players who we always cheer for during games and they never commit…Fernando and Stevie are 99% staying so i dont care about Mascherano.
