[Video Highlights] Blackburn 2-3 Liverpool: Late Carroll Header Wins It For Reds

By on April 10, 2012

Andy Carroll hit an injury-time winner as 10-man Liverpool beat Blackburn Rovers 3-2 at Ewood Park tonight. Liverpool raced into a 2-0 lead thanks to a double from Maxi but Rovers were handed a lifeline when Doni was given a straight red for upending Hoilett in the area. Sub Brad Jones saved Yakubu’s subsequent penalty to keep the score at 2-0.

However, the Yak made amends only minutes later when he headed home from a Dunn free kick to make it 2-1 before the break. Blackburn were then awarded another penalty when Jones shoved Yakubu in the box, with the striker making no mistake from the spot this time for 2-2. Deep into injury time, Carroll headed home from close range to win it for Liverpool. Watch match highlights here:

Am goin to complain about carroll!! ONLY one goal against the worst team of the league and suddenly he is a hero!! Come On, open your eyes, he is SHITTTT!! And the manager has the gut to praise him just coz he is brit, what about maxi , didn’t he deserved credit from dalgish, he was mute in his interview over maxi!! The truth is its always been Benitez’s recruits who have saved kenny’s ass, if it was not for kuyt, maxi and meireles, kenny would have never been given the permanent job of manager last season, but he fucked it up by sidelining and selling his saviors!!
