Arsenal and Fulham have lost ground in the chase for Burak Yilmaz as Spanish side Sevilla are lining up a bid for the Turkish striker, according to talkSPORT.

The 26-year old has been in red hot form for his club this season and has attracted interest after scoring an incredible 31 goals in just 28 games for Trabzonspor.

talkSPORT report that English clubs Arsenal and Fulham are interested in the striker, with Arsene Wenger and Martin Jol thought to be mulling over a summer bid for his services.

Wenger is believed to have shortlisted Yilmaz as a potential back-up for captain Robin van Persie in attack, whereas Jol wishes to lure him to Craven Cottage to potentially replace Clint Dempsey.

However, the two sides have received a wake-up call as the report claims that Spanish outfit Sevilla have already made advancements in capturing the frontman, and are already planning a £5 million bid for the Turkish international as soon as the summer window opens.
