Manchester United are wieghing up a move for FC Copenhagen full back Bryan Oviedo, according to a report by the Daily Mail.

The Mail report that United are on the look-out for another left back to act as cover for Patrice Evra next season. This years deputy Fabio da Silva is expected to join Benfica on loan next season leaving Sir Alex Ferguson short of options on the left side of his defence.

This has lead to Fergie sending scouts to keep an eye on Costa Rica international Oviedo and the Daily Mail claim United representatives were in attendance to see the 22-year-old in action during FC Copenhagen’s 5-0 thrashing of HB Koge on Sunday. Oviedo is out of contract next summer and could be available for as little as £2m.

The South American has made 13 appearances so far this season for the Danish champions and has also broken into the national team set up making 13 appearances for Costa Rica so far, and was also involved in Gary Speeds memorial match in February.
