[Teams] Arsenal vs Chelsea: Confirmed Line-ups

By on April 21, 2012

Arsenal host London rivals Chelsea at the Emirates in the early Saturday kick off in what could prove to be a vital game in the race for Champions League qualification.

Arsene Wenger will be hoping his team bounce back from last weeks shock 2-1 defeat to Wigan. Despite that loss, Arsenal currently sit third, seven points clear of the Blues, and victory today would go a long way to securing a top four finish for the Gunners this season.

Chelsea arrive on a high after Wednesday’s 1-0 win over Barcelona, but Roberto Di Matteo will want his players to put Tuesdays second leg to the back of their minds and focus on domestic duties this weekend.

Here are the confirmed teams:

Arsenal Team

Szczesny, Sagna, Vermaelen, Koscielny, Gibbs, Song, Ramsey, Rosicky, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Walcott, Van Persie.

SUBS: Fabianski, Djourou, Santos, Diaby, Coquelin, Gervinho, Chamakh.

Chelsea Team

Cech, Bosingwa, Cahill, Terry, Bertrand, Essien, Romeu, Malouda, Kalou, Sturridge, Torres

SUBS: Turnbull, Ferreira, Cole, Lampard, Mikel, Mata, Meireles.

We’ll have the goals up shortly after the game, so check back later.
