[Video] Carlos Vela Scores Stunning Overhead Kick To Salvage Point For Real

By on April 22, 2012

Arsenal striker Carlos Vela was in action for on loan club Real Sociedad on Sunday afternoon, helping them to a 1-1 draw against Villarreal. The Mexican is enjoying an excellent run of form in La Liga and was on hand to score a superb overhead kick to equalise in the 86th minute after Senna had put the visitors ahead just before the break.

Am I the only Arsenal fan wondering why we have several attacking players out on loan, while the club is left without adequate backup for striker Robin van Persie?! Vela, Arshavin and Bendtner are all on loan and scoring goals while Arsene Wenger is left brining on the likes of defender Andre Santos and midfielder Abou Diaby when searching for a winner against Chelsea on Saturday.

It’s clear Wenger doesn’t trust Chamakh or Park, but we have to watch some of our other attackers finding the net for their loan clubs. Maybe we should insert early release clauses into these season long loans next time! Anyway, it’s good to see Vela amongst the goals and it was a lovely finish. Watch it here:

Has he banged in more than Walcott? Just a couple of goals and you are asking why he was loaned out? Why some of us gunners so often forgetful of very recent past situations?

I have even heard some people ask why Denilson and Arshavin were loaned out? We are the same fans who often call for the heads of players who are experiencing difficulty and asking for them to be offloaded without giving them support during their trying period. But as soon as mother luck begins to shine on them, weturn round and castigate the coach for letting them try their luck elsewhere. take a grip guys.

Walcott has played the whole season and this guy has bearly won a spot in the 1st team and has 11 goals and about 10 assist.

There’s alot of talk flying around about how we should welcome back Bendtner, Arshavin and Vela because they’re all doing relatively well on they’re loan spells. But that doesn’t mean that when they get back they’re gonna be any better than when they left because unless RVP leaves they’re all gonna be in the exact position they were before- Benched.

They’ve all been playing well from 90 minute spells but not from where we would want them to play from- The subs bench.

Plus next season (if HE stays) we’ll have- RVP, Podolski, Joel Cambell and Either Walcott being used more centrally or maybe Gervinho. But most likely Chamakh.

Personally I’d prefer we get some cash for some players who have no commitment to this club rather than have them back sat on the bench complaining of a lack of 1st team football like last year!

We gunners fans are sometimes very funny. Alot of us hate Vela so much even wen he was trying his best at Arsenal. Vela is one player i always admire but others Hates him for wat i dnt undertand. Even at Arsenal he wasnt doing dat bad but yet Arsenal Fans were asking for his head. Now he is doing well at Loan and we re criticising Wenger for Loaning him to Sociedad. I dnt really understand u guys. I cant beliv someone is even talking abt Arshavin being Loaned out. We all including myself knw dat Arshavin was a waste in Arsenal dats why he was Loaned. So why criticising Wenger now. Arshavin and Bendner can be sold permanently but Vela should be called back cos d guy is really good. But we still need alot of quality Players to context for Trophies next season. Up Gunners.
