Carrow Road

Liverpool will look to get their flagging Premier League season back on track when they take on Norwich City this Saturday evening.

Kenny Dalglish’s side are in danger of finishing the season with their lowest ever Premier League points tally after a run of just 3 wins in 15 games has left the Reds only three points clear of their hosts, who are in 13th place.

Paul Lambert’s side have had an excellent season back in the top-flight following promotion last season and victory this weekend would move them level on points with the mighty Liverpool, something Lambert could have only dreamed about at the start of the season.

Even though Dalglish has guided the Merseysider’s to a Carling Cup triumph and an FA Cup still to come, they have once agin missed out on Champions League football next season despite their heavy outlay in the summer.

Team News

Paul Lambert will be without Marc Tierney who has been ruled out for the rest of the season following groin surgery, while former Liverpool defender Daniel Ayala remains on the sidelines with a hamstring strain.

However, another former Red, Zak Whitbread, may return after recovering from a calf injury.

Kenny Dalglish could welcome back captain Steven Gerrard, who has returned to training after being left out for last weeks defeat to WBA as a precaution. Although with the FA Cup final just round the corner, the Scot may decide to rest some of his key men.

Midfielder Charlie Adam has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury, and he joins Lucas Leiva on the sidelines.
