Arsenal moved a step closer to securing third place after a 1-1 draw with Stoke City at the Britannia on Saturday afternoon.
Peter Crouch headed home an Ethrington cross to give the Stoke the lead after 10 minutes, but Arsenal levelled soon after when Van Persie netted his 28th of the season after good work from Rosicky.
