Van Persie’s Wife Hints At Arsenal Stay
Speaking in the Sun newspaper, Bouchra van Persie is quoted as saying that the Gunners showed faith to her husband during his injury problems and she doesn’t feel it would be right to repay the club by thinking about making a move.
The part-time model went on to confirm that van Persie and his family are happy and settled in London, giving a clear signal that they could remain at the Emirates.
“Arsenal showed faith in Robin when he was going through a lean time, so we should not repay them by thinking about other clubs.
“Our home life and our children are happy in London.”
It’s not only his wife who would like him to stay at Arsenal, as Robin’s mother has also had her say on her son’s future.
Jose van Persie is quoted in the Sun as saying that Arsenal are a fantastic club who idolise Robin, and that gives him great incentive to stay.
“Arsenal love him and that’s a great incentive to stay. Arsenal are a fantastic club.
“They have no debts and Robin is idolised there.”
Manchester City, Juventus and Barcelona are among the clubs said to be interested in signing our 30-goal striker this summer, but it seems he will remain a Gunner if his family have anything to do with it.

Make no mistake, van Persie is very much a family man and will most certainly take their views on board when making a decision over his future. He has said many times before that his family’s happiness comes first, so i think these comments, particularly from his wife, tell us far more about what’s going on in the van Persie camp than some apparent ‘inside source’ in a tabloid newspaper.
If his wife and children want to stay in London, i think Robin would find it very difficult to up-root them and move elsewhere. However, the next problem for Arsenal fans will be if RVP decides he can handle the commute to Manchester every day, or possibly pushes for a move across the capital to Chelsea!
