A team of Manchester United legends went down 3-2 to Real Madrid legends at Sunday nights charity Corazon Classic Match at the Bernabeu.
Veterans like Zinedine Zidane, Teddy Sheringham, Luis Figo, Roberto Carlos, Emilio Butragueno, Lee Sharpe, Andy Cole, Dwight Yorke and Edwin van der Sar were on show and gave a 60,000 strong crowd an entertaining game.
Madrid went ahead through Fernando Morientes before Lee Sharpe levelled with a close range header. Luis Figo then scored a stunning 25-yard strike to put the hosts 2-1 up. Teddy Sheringham missed from the spot before Fernando Redondo made it 3-1. Sheringham got one back with a lovely finish but United couldn’t find the equaliser.
