[Teams] Van Persie and Bendtner Start In Group B Opener

By on June 9, 2012

Arsenal strikers Robin van Persie and Nicklas Bendtner will face off against each other this evening as Holland take on Denmark in the Group B opener.

Holland go into the game as red hot favourites and with 30-goal striker RVP leading the attack, it’s understandable why. But the Dutch know that despite his inconsistent form, Bendtner is still a major threat for the Danish side.

Here are the confirmed line-ups:

Holland Team:

Stekelenburg; Van Der Wiel, Heitinga, Vlaar, Willems; De Jong, Van Bommel; Robben, Sneijder, Afellay; Van Persie

Denmark Team:

Andersen; Jacobsen, Kjaer, Agger, S. Poulsen; Jorgensen, Eriksen, Zimling; Rommedahl, Bendtner, Krohn-Dehli

Personally, i can’t wait for the game. It should be a cracker. The result? I can’t see past a Holland win, and you know who will get on the scoresheet! Looking at the two teams, Holland look far stronger and with an attack of Robben, Sneijder, Afellay and Van Persie, the signs look ominous for the Danes.

What are your predictions for the game?
