Samir Nasri has taken another swipe at former club Arsenal, saying he no longer has to dream about winning titles now he’s at Manchester City.

The French midfielder is set to start in tonight’s Group D clash with England at Euro 2012, but has taken time out of his preparations for the game to once again have a dig at his former team.

Quoted in the Daily Mail, Nasri has said he’s glad he left the Emirates for the “far more competitive” City due to the fact he is now winning titles, not dreaming about it.

The 24-year-old left Arsenal last summer after contract negotiations with the club stalled and many Gooners claim he joined City for the money. However, the player has always insisted it was ambition and not cash that lured him to the Etihad Stadium, and he once again reiterated this in the Mail.

‘I’m glad I left because City are far more competitive and are winning titles, not dreaming about it.

‘I have said 300 times I did not leave Arsenal for money, only for sporting aspirations and if people don’t believe me that’s their problem.’ Nasri said.

The latest snipe comes after Nasri celebrated winning the Premier League title by telling Arsenal fans to ‘Celebrate your third-place achievement and I will focus on winning titles.’.

Nasri’s comments come just 24 hours after reports in the press claimed that City boss Roberto Mancini was ready to sell the midfielder this summer and Arsenal was touted as a possible destination.

Not sure Arsenal fans will be to keen on seeing him at the Emirates any time soon!
