Arsenal forward Theo Walcott produced an inspired second half substitute performance to help England to a vital 3-2 win over Sweden in their Group D round 2 tie on Friday night.
Walcott has lost his starting place on the right wing to James Milner under new boss Roy Hodgson, but with England trailing 2-1 Theo was introduced and changed the game.
The 22-year-old leveled things with a dipping effort from the edge of the area before setting up Danny Welbeck’s winner with a fine run and cut back. This was Walcott at his best and he has surely done enough to persuade Hodgson to start him against Ukraine next week.
