Wigan Athletic have told Chelsea and Liverpool it will take a bid of £12m to land forward Victor Moses, according to the Mirror.

The report claims that Wigan have slapped the hefty price-tag on the youngsters head after rejecting a £6m offer from European champions Chelsea last week.

New Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is also keen on the 21-year-old attacker as he looks to re-shape his squad at Anfield ahead of next season.

However, Wigan owner Dave Whelan is not going to let Moses leave on the cheap and is determined to get around £12m for his prized asset. Boss Roberto Martinez is reluctant to lose the Nigerian international but understands his sale would provide much-needed funds that would help him strengthen his squad this summer.

It’s believed that Whelan is using the sale of Charles N’Zogbia to Aston Villa last year as a benchmark for Moses’ valuation. N’Zogbia was sold for £9.5m and given the fact Moses is younger and seen as having the potential to be better than the Frenchman, he’s regarded as a more valuable asset.

Moses was a key player for Wigan last season, scoring 6 goals and providing 6 assists, as the Latics defied the odds to stave-off the threat of relegation and maintain their place in the Premier League for another season.

Actually both Juventus & Lactis Owners, both are idiot. However, I don’t blame the Wigan owners, because, thanks to KD, everyone has become ambitious with LFC, after we spent 72mn+ for 3 English garbage.

This is a case of a hitherto unknown and only recently discovered disease uncovered during Liverpools search for a new manager.

This disease has now been formally named as Whelanitis. It is believed to be highly contagious having already been contracted by Roberto Mancini, Martin Jol and Markus Babbel.

There is no known cure, but early trials of electric shock therapy are showing promise. But in the end It may mean they will have to be humanely euthanized.

If overated andy carrol cost +30m then moses is cheap for 12m. This is another british problem where u over-hype ur players but always fail 2 win major trophy in the national side.

Whelan and Levy are two terrible chairmen in football. Vocal and always use their lowliness as a bargain for public pitty. However, Whelan is far better than levy, at least, he thinks straight. £8M for Moses should represent a coup for Latics. I support CFC to buy Moses and leave him with Wigan for one full season.
