United Sign Six Starlets

Manchester United have announced on ManUtd.com that six young starlets have signed professional contracts with the club.

As manager Sir Alex Ferguson concentrates on strengthening the first team this summer with multimillion pound signings, six youngsters took their first steps in becoming future stars of Man Utd.

Pierluigi Gollini, Tyler Blackett, Luke McCullough, Luke Hendrie and Tom Lawrence have all successfully graduated from United’s impressive Academy and committed their immediate futures to Old Trafford.

Three players were regulars for United’s Under 18′s last season, with Blackett, Hendrie and McCullough also playing important roles in the Reds’ march to the FA Youth Cup semi-finals.

It was a more frustrating time for striker Lawrence and goalkeeper Gollini, as both missed large parts of last season through injury but the club have seen enough to tie them down to professional terms.

Reece James has also signed-on following a successful trial period at the club in which he played in the final game of the Under 18′s season.

Congratulations to all six youngsters and we wish them good luck in continuing their development at Man Utd.
