M'Baye Niang

Arsenal have made an official £6m bid for Caen youngster M’Baye Niang after learning of City’s interest in the player, according to the Mirror.

The report claims that Caen contacted the Gunners to let them know Man City were keen on flying the 17-year-old out to their training camp in Austria this week, prompting Arsenal to make an official move for the highly-rated striker.

Niang spent time on trial at Arsenal’s London Colney last week and Arsene Wenger has now offered the his club side Caen a deal worth £6m in a bid to stave off interest from the Premier League champions.

City approached Caen asking for permission to fly Niang out to Austria for a short trial with a view to sealing a permanent switch, but it’s unclear whether the player will go now that the Gunners have made their move.

It’s likely that City will also firm up their interest in the player in the coming days and will respond to Arsenal’s move with a bid of their own, leaving Niang in a position of having to choose between the two Premier League heavy-weights.

Arsenal is the best club to develop his game and if he works hard at his game, there is no doubts, he will break into the first team.
This would be difficult with the other clubs.

If this news is correct, why man city officials are so selfish and clueless that they can’t think on their own..is like they have an agent(s) on their pay roll employed just to watch arsenal every move. man city is classless and clueless

NEVER heard of him but given his tender age, his development will be best suited @ Arsenal. Man City have TOO many players ahead of him, cant see him getting into the team there.
