Spanish outfit Celta Vigo are interested in signing Arsenal outcast Nicklas Bendtner, according to the Daily Mail.

The 24-year-old Danish striker looks set to end his seven year stay in north London after failing to establish himself as a first team regular in Arsene Wenger’s side.

He fell out of favour with the Gunners boss last summer and spend the whole of last season on loan at Sunderland, where he scored a respectable 8 goals in 28 appearances, and a permanent move this summer is now expected.

The Mail claim that Celta Vigo have joined AC Milan and Galatasaray in the race to land the 6 foot 5 inch front man, and a £7.5m move could be agreed by the end of the week.

The Dane has an impressive return of 45 goals in his 153 games for Arsenal, with many of his appearances coming as a substitute, but Arsene Wenger is keen to cash in now to get Bendtner off the clubs books in order to raise funds for further summer signings.

The Frenchman has already signed Bendtner’s replacement in strikers Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud, but has confirmed he still plans to add more new faces to his squad this summer.
