Arsenal Transfer News: Serie A Midfielder Open To Gunners Move

Brescia midfielder Omar El Kaddouri has welcomed interested from Arsenal and claimed he would be open to a switch to the Premier League, according to Sky Sports

With the summer transfer window in full swing, Football Talk will be keeping you up-to-date with all the latest transfer news throughout the summer. Today, Omar El Kaddouri is open to a move to Arsenal.

Brescia midfielder Omar El Kaddouri has welcomed interest from Arsenal and claimed he would be open to a switch to the Premier League, according to Sky Sports News.

The Belgian-born midfielder was said to be on the verge of joining Parma after the Serie A side agreed a €5million fee with Brescia, but the transfer has yet to be completed.

Sky Sports News suggest that Arsenal and Italian champions Juventus are also interested, and the Gunners are believed to have sent scouts to run-the-rule over the 21-year-old at the London 2012 Olympics, where he’s in action representing Morocco.

When quizzed about reported interest from Arsenal, El Kaddouri claimed he’s flattered and admitted that while he’s settled in Italy, a move to the Premier League would appeal to him. Speaking to Sky Sports, the youngster said:

“I am in the Olympics and my advisors are looking at the available options.

“Arsenal? I do not know if they are interested in me but it is flattering.

“I am settled in Italy to be honest but Premier League football is appealing to any player.”

El Kaddouri moved to Brescia in 2008 from Belgian side Anderlecht but initially struggled to make a breakthrough. But after spending a year on loan at Serie B side Südtirol in the 2010/11 season, he was given his chance at Brescia and became an important part of their first team last season.
