By on August 22, 2012

Chelsea play their first home game of the season when they welcome newly promoted Reading to Stamford Bridge tonight.

Brazilian midfielder Ramires returns after missing Sunday’s 2-0 win over Wigan through illness, Ryan Bertrand makes way.

However, David Luiz misses out with a knee injury meaning Gary Cahill comes in to play alongside John Terry at the back. Other than that Roberto Di Matteo sticks with the side that beat the Latics.

Here are the confirmed line-ups:

Chelsea Team

Cech; Ivanovic, Terry, Cahill, Cole; Mikel, Lampard; Ramires, Hazard, Mata; Torres.

SUBS: Turnbull, Bertrand, Essien, Romeu, Meireles, Oscar, Sturridge.

Reading Team

Federici; Gunter, Pearce, Gorkss, Harte; McAnuff, Leigertwood, Guthrie, Karacan, McLeary; Pogrebnyak.

SUBS: McCarthy, Cummings, Mariappa, Tabb, Robson-Kanu, Hunt, Le Fondre

We’ll have video highlights up shortly after the final whistle, so check back later.
