Arsenal and Tottenham are among the clubs battling to sign Roma striker Bojan Krkic, according to talkSPORT.

The Spanish striker came through the youth ranks at Barcelona and was expected to go on to become a first team regular at the Nou Camp after making his debut in 2007. Despite going on to make 104 appearances and scoring 24 goals for the Catalans, things didn’t work out for him at Barca and he was sold to Roma last summer.

However, Krkic has endured a difficult first season in Serie A, scoring just 7 goals in 33 games, and he has been linked with another move this summer.

talkSPORT claim north London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham are interested in signing the 21-year-old, but could face competition from AC Milan, Valencia and Atletico Madrid.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is still keeping an eye out for another striker following the departure of Robin van Perise, despite bringing in Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud this summer.

Spurs coach Andre Villas-Boas is also on the look-out for striking reinforcements as he only has two recognized senior strikers, namely Jermaine Defoe and Emmanuel Adebayor, on the books at White Hart Lane.
