Arsenal youngster Conor Henderson was in action for Ireland under 21′s as they recorded an impressive 4-2 away victory over Italy on Monday night in their European Under-21 championship qualifier.
With Ireland already 2-1 up Henderson smashed home from fully 35-yards to make it 3-1 midway through the second half.
The 20-year-old saw his career halted by a cruciate ligament injury sustained in a pre-season game against Cologne 14 months ago, but he is now fully fit and ready to try and break into the Arsenal first team squad.
A few more goals like this one wouldn’t hurt his chances, that’s for sure!
the kids a bit special.
Wao! That’s my boy Conor. Hp he breaks to Arsenal’s 1st IX soon.
C. Henderson is just another Arsenal talent develop in our academy… I fear our current first team midfielders will block his progress to the team. Anyway, it is why we don’t need to pay silly transfer money for hype players. Arsene really knows how to spot talent with his intensely scouting network check.
