Nani’s feud with Manchester United has intensified with the players future at the club growing increasingly uncertain.

According to the Mirror, United tried to sell the Portuguese winger to Zenit St Petersburg during the summer transfer window but after the move fell through, the Premier League giants have now told the 25-year-old to stop complaining about contract dispute with the club.

Nani has just under two years to run on his current deal and talks over an extension have stalled due to the players excessive wage demands.

The stand-off resulted in intense speculation over his future during the summer, and it’s understood United were keen to cash in and sell him to ambitious Russian outfit Zenit St Petersburg.

Nani has made it clear he feels mistreated by the club and has gone public on his frustration at not been given the pay-rise he feels he’s earned.

However, United have been left unimpressed by Nani’s claim that he’s ready to run down his contract and walk away on a free transfer when his current deal expires in 2014.

The Mirror claim that United officials have grown tired of his antics and have instructed him to stop complaining about his contract situation and concentrate on winning his place back in Sir Alex Ferguson’s side.

Nani has fallen out-of-favour with Antonio Valencia, Ashley Young, Danny Welbeck, Ryan Giggs and Shinji Kagawa all ahead of him in the pecking order.

He was left out of the squad that beat Fulham 3-2 on August the 25th as the club tried to find a buyer, but a deal couldn’t be completed and the Portuguese ace will remain at United until at least January, when the former champions will once again try to offload him unless there is a drastic turn of events.
