Arsenal manager has dismissed reports suggesting Bacary Sagna could be the next player to leave the Emirates and insists the defender loves the club, according to Sky Sports News.

The French full back was quoted in an interview recently saying he was unhappy with the clubs decision to sell Alax Song to Barcelona this summer and was becoming frustrated at seeing important first team players leave every year.

Sagna also questioned his own future in north London and claimed he is yet to discuss a contract extension, despite having less than two years to run on his current deal.

This resulted in speculation that the 29-year-old would be the next high-profile name to leave the Emirates, however, boss Arsene Wenger has played down these reports insisting the right back loves Arsenal and will stay at the club:

“Bacary loves the club and I think he will stay here,”

“His interview doesn’t reflect the love he has for this club.

“He has always given full commitment.”

Wenger is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News

Sagna missed this summer European championships after suffering a broken leg towards the end of last season but Wenger confirmed he is close to a first team comeback and should return to full training in two weeks time.
