Despite the transfer window being closed, there is always transfer gossip doing the rounds in the papers and we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest news during the coming months. Today, Man Utd are linked with a young striker.
The Italian teenager has made an excellent start to the new season having scored one and assisted two more in his first two games for the Serie B outfit this campaign.
The clubs general director claims that several clubs, including Manchester United and Juventus, are monitoring the 18-year-old’s situation and have send scouts to run-the-rule over the highly-rated youngster.
However, Bonato has confirmed they are yet to receive any firm offers for the player and they are mulling over how best to manage his development. He told Sky Sports:
“The interest from Manchester United? The player is followed with great attention by many clubs, including the Red Devils and also Juventus.
“But there are other Italian and foreign sides who have observed him in recent games.
“For the moment there has been no concrete contact, so we’re thinking about the present and how to develop Berardi in the best way.”
Domenico is under contract at Sassuolo until 2015 but Bonato is willing to listen to offers for the starlet and confirmed that if a big club comes calling, they are ready to negotiate. He continued:
“We are open to all options. We’ll see how things are going and how the situation develops,” he added.
“Domenico deserves attention; he has great qualities and he’s showing it.
“He has a contract with us until 2015 and if some big club should come forward we will see what is best for everyone.”
