Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao has admitted he’s dreaming of moving to the Premier League amid reports Chelsea will make a January bid for him, according to talkSPORT.

The Columbian hitman has been in sensational form for Madrid since making the move from Porto in 2011, hitting an impressive 49 goals in 60 appearances in all competitions. This form has lead to speculation over his future and European champions Chelsea are thought to be  lining up a January move for the 26-year-old.

While the player acknowledges that he has three years still to run on his Atletico contract, he admits it’s his dream to move to another league and hints he would be open to a switch to the Premier League:

“The chance of playing in another league and for another club will come. I keep dreaming.” Falcao said.

“I know that in time I would like to go to a different team. But I have three more years left on my contract with Atletico.

“The dream is always there. The Premier League is an interesting league but I have a few years left on my contract with Atletico and I’m just focusing on them.”

Falcao is quoted as saying by talkSPORT.

Blues boss Roberto Di Matteo is keen to shake-up his attacking options when the window re-opens with striker Fernando Torres in the firing line. The Spaniard has struggled to hit top form since making a £50m move from Liverpool in January 2011 and Falcao has been eyed as a potential replacement.

Reports yesterday even claimed the Columbian had already agreed personal terms over a move to West London, and a £48m deal would be completed as early as January. Whether that happens remains to be seen but the additional of Falcao would make Chelsea a formidable looking side.
