Brazilian hitman Leandro Damiao has hinted he would like to move to Chelsea in order to link-up with former team-mate Oscar, according to Sky Sports News.

The Internacional striker has become one of South America’s hottest properties after hitting 38 goals in 51 games for the Brazilian outfit in the 2011 season. He has continued that fine form this year and has already scored 24 goals in 40 appearances so far.

This impressive form has lead to intense speculation over his future with Chelsea and Tottenham among several European clubs linked with a move (Source: Metro). Despite the transfer rumours, the 23-year-old insists he’s happy at Inter but admitted a move to the Premier League is a ‘great attraction’.

“I have a contract until 2015 with Internacional and for the moment, despite all the rumours, I am staying where I am and that is in Porte Alegre with Internacional,”

“The Premier League holds great attraction, of course. I was in England for quite some time during the Olympics and it is a great country with good people.

“But for the moment I am staying put.”

Damiao went on claim he would love to link-up with former team-mate Oscar, who left Internacional in the summer to move to Stamford Bridge. He continued:

“Oscar is a fantastic player,”

“I had an excellent relationship with him on the field at Internacional and it is true that I would like to be reunited with Oscar. We still play together when fielded for Brazil.”

Chelsea are on the look-out for another striker to support the out-of-form Fernando Torres, as question marks continue to be asked over the future of Daniel Sturridge. Reports on Friday claim Roman Abramovich was ready to splash £128m on Radamel Falcao, Edinson Cavani and James Rodriguez, but Damiao is also believed to be on the wish-list is moves for any of the trio fail.
