Newcastle striker Demba Ba has fueled speculation he could move to Arsenal after claiming they’re a club that ‘makes you dream’, according to the Daily Mail.

The Senegal international is having an excellent season at St James’ Park and scored his 11th goal in 17 games against Manchester City on Saturday. However, the report claims that the 27-year-old is yet to agree on a new deal at Newcastle with Alan Pardew keen to remove a £7.5 million buy-out clause that was added to his contract when he signed from West Ham in 2011.

The Mail understand that Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool are monitoring the striker ahead of the January transfer window but it’s talk of a move to the Gunners that’s caught Ba’s eye. While claiming nothing official has happened as yet, Ba admitted Arsenal are a team who ‘makes you dream’.

‘I have nothing to say about those speculations [with Arsenal]. Nothing has happened.

‘The media know Arsenal need another striker and they know about my release clause. They need to make their own mind up about it.

‘Arsenal are one of those teams who makes you dream.’ Ba is quoted as saying by the Mail

We are in desperate need of another striker when the transfer window re-opens next month. Olivier Giroud is settling well but we need competition up top and if Arsene Wenger isn’t going to try Lukas Podolski or Theo Walcott through the middle, we need to bring in another forward in January and we could do a lot worse than Ba.

The Mail claim as well as Ba, we’re interested in Schalke striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Atletico Madrid’s Adrian Lopez. My preference of the three would probably be Huntelaar but I’ll take whoever the boss feels is the right fit for Arsenal. I just hope if we do sign players next month, we do our business early.
