Chelsea’s title hopes were dealt a major blow as West London rivals Queens Park Rangers recorded a shock 1-0 win at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.

Despite intense pressure, the home side couldn’t find a way past a stubborn Rangers defence with Fernando Torres missing a great chance to put the European champions ahead in the second half. Former Chelsea winger Shaun Wright-Phillips made them pay with a 78th minute winner – firing home from the edge of the box following a corner to put Rangers level on points with Reading at the foot of the table.
