Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish believes winger Wilfried Zaha will remain with the club until the summer despite interest from Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham, according to the Mirror.

The report claims Manchester United are ready to open the bidding with an £8m offer this month with the attacker understood to want a move to either Arsenal or United when he does leave Palace.

However, Parish expects Zaha to stay at Selhurst Park until the summer in order to help the Eagle’s win promotion back to the top-flight, although he does concede they will listen to any offers that are tabled in the coming weeks. Parish is quoted as saying by the Mirror:

“Right now we’re concentrating on trying to get out of this league and the best way of doing that is adding to what we’ve got, not losing players,”

“I think he will be a Palace player until the summer. He has said himself that he really wants to get promoted with the club.

“He is a smashing kid and he has been with us since he was 12. I know he wants to help us get promoted. You can see on the pitch how hard he is trying to achieve that.

“I think he will be a Palace player until the summer and then we will look at it. Obviously, we will look at anything that anybody offers us because we would be mad not to.

“If we feel we can move the club forward from doing certain things, then we will. So, never say never. But right now we are focused on trying to keep everyone in the squad.”

The 20-year-old has attracted interest from the Premier League after a string of impressive display’s in the Championship, with Zaha making over 100 appearances for Palace since breaking into the first-team set-up in 2010.

It looks likely he will leave the London outfit but the big questions remain; when and where? Parish is confident his star man will stay until the summer but it would be difficult for the Championship outfit to resist a big-money bid if one of the Premiership big-guns come calling this month.

Perhaps the best situation for all parties would be, if he does leave this month, is for him to be loaned back to Palace until the end of the season as he’s unlikely to get a lot of playing time at a top Premier League club just yet.
