Jordan Henderson put the home side on their way with a stunning right-footed opener before Luis Suarez doubled their advantage just before the break with a cool finish. New signing Daniel Sturridge then made it 3 goals in 3 games with a tap in before captain Steven Gerrard made it 4-0 with a trademark long-range strike. Norwich defender Bennett then put through his own net after some good work by Sterling down the left wing to compete the rout.
