Manchester United are expected to wrap up the signing of Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace within the next 12 hours after Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger ruled out making a late move for the player, according to the Daily Mail.

The report claims talks between United and Palace are at an advanced stage and a £12m deal is almost complete, but the Manchester giants are likely to postpone undergoing a medical until the summer as their medical staff are currently out of the country.

The Mail also suggest United will have to perform medical tests at the end of the season anyway as Zaha will be staying in the Championship for the remainder of the season to help with Palace’s promotion push, and the two clubs expect the deal to be finalised by Wednesday morning.

The news comes after Arsenal boss claimed at his press conference on Tuesday morning that he wouldn’t be making any late move for the 20-year-old as he was ‘never in for Zaha’ in the first place.

‘We were never in for Zaha,’

‘I don’t know if he will go to Man United. If he goes to Man United, good luck to him.’

Wenger is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail

Anyone believe him? Nope. Me neither. So with Wenger clearing the way for United, it seems Sir Alex Ferguson is now just a matter of hours from signing another exciting England youngster.
