[Teams] Liverpool vs West Brom: Confirmed Line-ups

By  Published: 11th February 2013

Liverpool welcome West Brom to Anfield tonight looking to keep alive their slim hopes of qualifying for the Champions League next season.

The Reds are currently in eight place in the Premier League table – 12 points off fourth-placed Tottenham – so victory tonight will be vital if they’re to maintain any hope of sneaking fourth.

Boss Brendan Rodgers has been dealt a blow with the news that striker Daniel Sturridge has been ruled out of the game. Luis Suarez starts up front with Jonjo Shelvey coming in in place of the England forward. Martin Skrtel continues on the bench with Jamie Carragher preferred in defence. Here are the confirmed line-ups for the game:

Liverpool Team

Reina, Johnson, Carragher, Agger, Enrique, Lucas, Gerrard, Henderson, Suarez, Shelvey, Downing.

Subs: Jones, Wisdom, Skrtel, Allen, Borini, Sterling, Coutinho

West Brom Team

Foster; Reid, McAuley, Olsson, Ridgewell; Mulumbu, Yacob; Dorrans, Morrison, Brunt; Long.

Subs: Myhill, Lukaku, Fortune, Jones, Rosenberg, Tamas, Thomas.

Happy for Albion Sturridge is not playing, would off liked to see Thomas on the wing instead of Dorrans. West Brom to win 2-1 with Lukaku scoring the winner 10 minutes from the end. BOING BOING.
