Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has made the signing of Malaga’s £30m-rated play-maker Isco his top priority this summer, according to the Daily Star.

It’s been another disappointing season to be an Arsenal fan. Knocked out of the League Cup by lowly Bradford, out the FA Cup to Blackburn, struggling to finish in the top four and recently knocked out of the Champions League to Bayern mean it’s now been a long eight years since we last won a trophy.

However, there could be hope yet Gooners with the Star claiming that the boss will be given £70m to rejuvenate his squad with this summer and suggest he’s finally ready to spend what’s required to bring in some top quality players ahead of next season.

According to the report, top of his priority list is Malaga’s attacking midfielder Isco, who’s become one of Europe’s hottest properties in recent months after a string of impressive display’s in La Liga while he’s also been an important figure in helping the club reach the quarter finals of the Champions League for the first time in their history.

The 20-year-old is already a full Spanish international having made his debut last month during a 3-2 win over Uruguay and the Star suggest that Arsenal chief scout Steve Rowley has been making regular checks on the youngsters progress this season while former Malaga defender Nacho Monreal has apparently given a ‘glowing report’ on Isco and says he’d be a good fit in our team.

Personally, an attacking midfielder wouldn’t be my priority this summer. In fact, it might be the last thing I’d be looking to buy. A keeper, centre back, defensive midfielder and striker are all more important in my eyes. But if we’re going to spend £30m on an attacking midfielder there aren’t many better available at present than Isco.

He’s pure quality and would certain add something to the team, my only concern would be how he’d fit in alongside Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla if we did manage to lure him to the Emirates this summer.

This maybe pure lies by Wenger. Imagine him beginning to wonder how to combine Wilshere, Cazorla and Isco. I want to ask if all of these three must always play together or can’t any player be rested? Don’t they get tired and need to rest? With how Wenger is sounding, he may end up not buying Isco and that is how one of our neighbours will come and buy him off.

Amlydave, as Barcelona rotates Xavi, Iniesta, Fabregas and Thiago Alcantara and Real Madrid rotates Modric, Ozil and co, then we will also rotate our midfielders and rest others like all big clubs with big squad. Even Man U does. So i foresee no preblem, it will make us stronger and more competitive for all trophies.

I don’t think we need another attacking middle fider. All we need is strong pair in our defends, nice solid bloking 4 and a nice n sharp striker. Gooners 4 life

If Mr wenger can try to buy ISCO, is good for arsenal to get him, so the combinetion of Wilsher, Cazorla, Isco and use Chamberlain and Eisfeld for ur term
