Barcelona attacker Alexis Sanchez is set to snub interest from Liverpool and Manchester City in favour of a return to Serie A with Inter Milan this summer, according to the Express.

The Chilean international enjoyed an excellent first season in La Liga following his big-money move from Udinese in 2011, scoring 12 goals in 25 league starts. However, he’s struggled for form this season, scoring just 2 league goals so far this campaign, and has dropped down the pecking order in recent months leading to question marks over his future at the Nou Camp.

The Express claim that Liverpool and Manchester City are keen to bring him to the Premier League this summer but it seems the duo are set to miss out with Inter Milan understood to be closing in on his signature.

The report states that an agreement has already been reached between Inter officials and Sanchez’s agent Fernando Felicevitch that will see the Italian giants sign the 24-year-old on a one-year loan deal with the option to buy after the initial 12-month period.
