Turks Ready To Offer £12m For Gervinho – Bite Their Hand Off Arsene!

By on March 27, 2013

Despite the transfer window being closed there is still plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, Gervinho is linked with a move away from Arsenal.

Arsenal may be about to cut their loses with Ivory Coast forward Gervinho with the Express reporting that Turkish giants Galatasaray are preparing a £12m summer bid.

Gervinho earned himself a £10.8m move to the Emirates in 2011 following a stunning season in Ligue 1 when the Ivorian scored 15 goals and provided 10 assists in 35 games to lead Lille to the title.

However, he’s struggled to replicate that form in the Premier League and has been largely disappointing in an Arsenal shirt, managing just 8 league goals during his two years in north London.

The 25-year-old is no longer regarded as a first team regular in Arsene Wenger’s starting eleven and the Express claim we’ll listen to offers for him this summer with Galatasaray said to be keen to offer him an escape route to Turkey this summer and are prepared to pay us £12m for his services.

Personally, I would bite their hands off! Gervinho is a hugely frustrating player to have in the side. He seems to get himself into promising positions only for his touch or final ball to let him down. I think it’s clear he isn’t going to make it at Arsenal and if we can make a small profit on him, I think it’s a no-brainer to sell if Galatasaray come in with a £12m bid.

People like you ruin players confidence as happened to many arsenal players apart from there fact that you don’t understand what you look at obvious people putting up money. Do

Instead of £12m go slightly lower, take it as generous discounts for shipping away this plastic legs. Useless and only good in talking bout national obligation. Honestly Arsenal should not consider further when there are offers for this deadwood. Thank goodness got such stupid club in the world like Gala who is willing to adopt this young yet not talented footballer.

Will always cause arguments: undoubtedly very talented – ghosts past defenders like no other can in our squad; can score too but has confidence issues. If only….

Arsenal fans, I mean the few vocal ones are just very impossible, egoistic and very uncharitable. Their individual failures in their personal lives are what they are projecting to Arsenal players. Nobody is good expect their poor selves. Is it because Gervinho is a black man from Africa? Why dont we give him half of the period we gave to RVP, Walcott and Diaby? Why the haste to write him ogf while being patient with the mentioned trio? Every player deserved enough opportunities. Gervinho is agile, he is a fighter, he helps the defence and on his days, he could single handedly wreck opposition defence. What he needs is confidence, better ball distribution and accurate end delivery. He needs to be given time.
